Arnold’s new gastro pub.
We were asked to look at the logo design and branding to help relaunch a bar in Arnold, Nottingham. It had previously been open under the moniker of ‘Home Bar’ but the new owners wanted to revamp it. They would be serving classic British dishes, continental beers, cask ales, coffee and much more.
The brief
They had seen our portfolio of work and loved the previous logo design and branding we had done for Rêve Design. They wanted a similar approach but using more earthy tones of khaki, taupe and blue.
Our solution
Initially we worked on the logo design and presented a series of options. They were drawn to one style in particular that answered their brief exactly. As a result of a very quick presentation process, the final logo was agreed upon.
The next stage
Stage 2 was to create a set of food and drinks menus and internal and external signage. Followed by adverts for local press, beer mats and a pump clip for their in-house ale. Working closely with the printers and signage company, we ensured the quality control and colour matching was spot on. By the time we got to launch night, everything was in place.
Client feedback
Our concept was to turn the place into a gastro pub, something Arnold sorely needed. One where people can eat and drink for a reasonable price and have entertainment at the weekends. To do this, we needed the right identity and that’s where BLU:72 came in. They took our tight brief and literally produced what I’d got in my head, it’s perfect.
