Tourism Guide for Experience Nottinghamshire
Earlier this year, we were asked by the team at Experience Nottinghamshire to design and artwork the new Nottinghamshire Tourism Guide.
As the official guide for tourist information in the region, the brochure needed to be packed full of information. The size of the document had to be A5 so it would fit in the display stands within local hotels, restaurants and the tourism centre. The client wanted it to be no more than 90 pages, so we broke the guide up into bite-sized chunks. The front section gave an overview of the main attractions, these were then listed within colour coded sub-sections such as Heritage, Shopping and Sports. At the back of the guide within the Accommodation section, we listed every hotel, B&B and campsite in the region and finished it off with a foldout map of the county and Nottingham city centre.
It really was a mammoth artworking task, collating all the information and images from hundreds of listings and laying out the brochure in as clear and consistent way as possible. The fact that the page size was so small and that we needed to fit in so much information, made it a real challenge, but we managed to finish the brochure at 92 pages as requested and the client was extremely happy with the result.
